In 1859 Oregon became the 33rd state to be admitted to the United States. The design on their quarter features Crater Lake which is the deepest lake in the United States and also one of the clearest due to the absence of any running waters coming into the body of water. Wizard Island and Watchman and Hillman Peaks are also in this design. In the front of the lake are also tall evergreen trees with a line of smaller conifers running through the design.
