State Line Passenger Cruise Ship Across the Atlantic Print
Brandywine General Store
A Museum Quality Print of Vintage advertising for State Line, which ran a shipping line with Cruise Ships to carry passengers across the Atlantic Ocean for sale by Brandywine General Store. Our premium archival artwork shows a large ship called State of Nebraska and a much smaller sailboat out in the ocean, with a deep red sky behind them. At the top in a separate insert is picture of the dining room showing tables set with silverware and flowers. Below that is a round insert showing a group of passengers setting on the deck, a woman is playing the banjo and two children are dancing. The captain is above them looking through a telescope, hopefully looking for icebergs. These ships were the forerunners for the modern day cruise ships, only back in the time of this State Line, the cruise wasn't altogether for pleasure, but for the business of getting across the Atlantic Ocean as quick as possible. This vintage ad says State Line For Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Londonderry and Liverpool.
