A Museum Quality Print of Stewart Hall Setting High on the Bank at WVU for sale by Brandywine General Store. This scenic landscape of the historic hall on the downtown WVU campus is taken from below and shows how impressive the Romanesque Revival architecture is of this Morgantown landmark. Stewart Hall was built between 1900 to 1902 and as such is the fourth oldest building on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown. The building was originally used as a library for the growing college and was used in this capacity until 1931 when the much larger Wise Library was built. The building is one of the finest examples of Romanesque Revival Architecture in the entire state of WV. Setting off this downtown campus building are the rock wall in the front holding the dirt back of the bank, the shrubs and some tall trees in the background. Picture #457
