Our fall landscape features two red spruce trees on top of a cliff with branches only growing on one side. This flagging occurs because of the harsh winters that occur in the Dolly Sods region with the almost constant cold winds that allow branches to only grow on one side of the trees that are exposed to the winds. Red and Orange colors are in front of the trees from the blueberry bushes and maple saplings. The mountains can be seen in the distance with a low cloud covered sky.
