A Museum Quality Art Print of the WV Governor's Mansion in Dappled Sunshine for sale by Brandywine General Store. This scenic landscape shows the main part of the southern style mansion framed nicely by the shrubs in the front which are hiding the two wings on the sides, along with the brick columns and the stairway all the way up from the street. The exterior of this Georgian Colonial dwelling is made of Red Harvard Colonial brick laid in the Flemish bond with black headers, is fronted by a central two story portico with a bracketed pediment that is supported by four free standing and two fluted Corinthian columns. It all makes for a beautifully constructed Mansion. Work began on this building in 1924 and Governor Morgan and his wife moved into the new Mansion the following year in 1925. Picture #383
