This folk art painting was completed sometime during the period of 1865 to 1880. The scene shows the Pharaoh's army in many colors marching down the road between 2 rows of classical buildings. There are green and blue uniforms, some with bright red caps. Charioteers are also present as well as soldiers with spears and other weapons. The elite of Egypt are milling underneath the building columns watched the Army of Egypt march past. This probably represents the moment in time when Pharaoh was after Moses and the Israelites.
