Selznick's production of Margaret Mitchell's Story of the old south, Gone With the Wind in Technicolor starring Clark Gable as Rhett Butler, Leslie Howard, Olivia DeHavilld and presenting Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara and was released by Metro Goldwyn Mayer. This is most likely the most successful movie in the history of the United States. It is the story about the days leading up to the Civil War when Scarlett O'Hara was a Southern Belle, runs through the dark days of the Rebellion and then continues after the war with Scarlett trying to make her way in the Reconstruction South. Rhett Butler tries to get with her the whole time, but she rebukes him in favor of Ashely Wilkes. This version of the movie poster is done mostly in brown, black and white colors and shows Rhett and Scarlett at the top kissing. A fancy border is all around the print.
