Ringling Brothers 1899 Street Parade Circus Poster
A Museum Quality Print of a Ringling Brothers 1899 Street Parade Circus Poster for sale by Brandywine General Store. This beautiful lithograph shows several different circus scenes and would have been put around in different towns and stores to advertise that the circus was soon coming. This poster from 1899 was advertising a parade which probably was the kick off for the circus entering town. This poster shows prominent sections in Ringling Brothers big new parade, A tremendous spectacular free street carnival. At the top of the poster is Section 29 which was a Caravan crossing the desert, right under that is Section 18 which was the Children's fairyland parade. In a circle in the center of this colorful lithograph is Sections 14 thru 19 which were famous mounted military companies of the World with the HMS Band. To the left of this circle are 5 men, who are most likely the Ringling Brothers themselves. Near the bottom is displayed Section 21 which portrayed Warfare in the Punjaub and on the bottom was Section 10 which showed National English Derby Day. Picture #43
