This scenic landscape shows a wide angle or pano view of this vast hospital complex as well as the new construction going on to the side. On the right you can see a corner of Milan Puskar Stadium, which of course is home to the West Virginia Mountaineer Football team. Ruby Memorial opened for business in 1988 and is named for the late J. W. Ruby who donated around 6 million dollars to this institution. Ruby was a 21 year old boy from the farm when he went to work in the plating department of Sterling Specialty Company in Ohio. He later came to Morgantown when Sterling Faucet purchased the idle mill complex in Morgantown. Ruby was put in charge of the plant. Following World War II Ruby became the owner of Sterling Faucet, he also became involved in agriculture, mining, road paving, poultry processing, feed mills and race horses. Picture #436 an original archival photographic print by Brandywine General Store.
