A Museum Quality Print of Stalnaker Hall at WVU a Side View for sale by Brandywine General Store. This scenic composition shows this historic hall setting high up on the hill with green trees in front and a bright blue sky overhead adding color. Stalnaker was the first building built at West Virginia University for the sole purpose of housing students. This Classical Revival architectural style dorm was built in 1918 and originally was called Woman's Hall. It was named for Elizabeth Stalnaker, professor of philosophy and psychology in the early 20th century. Most of the rooms in this dormitory are 2 bedroom suites connected by a single bathroom and houses mainly upper class students. Picture #438
