Co Starring Barbara Bel Geddes, Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Screenplay by Alec Coppel and Samuel Taylor and in technicolor. The movie plot is Former Police Detective John "Scottie" Ferguson is asked by a friend to investigate his wife, Madeleine, who has been acting strange and he is afraid she might commit suicide. The husband thinks the wife is going insane because she thinks she is possessed by a dead ancestor. Scottie refuses at first but after seeing Madeleine he changes his mind and takes the case. He soon falls in love with her. He saves her from a suicide attempt when she jumps into the San Fransisco Bay, but later when she attempts another suicide by climbing to the top of an old mission Church into the bell tower, Scotty is unable to stop her because of his vertigo and she jumps to her death. Later on though he finds out that he was set up and he was a pawn in a tragedy that was meant to end badly. This classic movie was released by Paramount Studios in 1958.
