Our premium archival car artwork shows a black and white version of this very early vehicle. The Haynes Apperson Company manufactured automobiles during the brass era from 1896 until 1905. They were the 1st car manufacturers in Indiana and among the earliest in the US. Elwood Haynes, one of the founders, was the inventor of stainless steel and stellite. In 1894 this company built one of the 1st gas powered vehicles in the US. The Haynes Apperson cars were known for their long distance running ability and one of their cars was in the very first car race in America. Picture #56
