1957 Illinois Municipal license plate
An antique 1957 Illinois Municipal shortie License Plate for sale by Brandywine General Store. The 57 IN DMV government tag is red with white. This is a low 3 digit number shortie plate, made before sizes were standardized in 1957 by the Federal Government, this would most likely have been the last plates made in this small version. If the state didn't need the room to put the Registration number, they just made a short enough plate to hold what letters were needed, thus saving metal and money. The department of motor vehicles registration number is M-153, the condition is very good.
