A 2001-S North Carolina Silver Statehood Quarter which was graded perfect by PCGS at Proof 70 Deep Cameo. As of this listing only 430 of these silver quarters have been good enough to earn the distinction of a perfect 70 grade by PCGS. North Carolina became the 12th state to join the Union in the year 1789. The design on this quarter portrays the photograph of the famous first flight of the airplane built by Wilbur and Orville Wright in 1903. This historic flight took place in Kitty Hawk North Carolina and flew only 120 feet, but has lived in infamy ever since that historic day. Any scratches of blemishes you see are on the slab itself and not the coin, please keep in mind that our images are magnified about 10 times which makes any blemish look much worse than it actually is.
