An archival premium Quality art Print of The Death of Abel by Antonio Balestra, the artist finished the oil on canvas around 1704 for sale by Brandywine General Store. The size of the original artwork is 47 by 59 inches and now hangs at Ball State University. The scene takes place after Abel has been murdered by his brother Cain. He lies on branches and wood that had been built as a pyre for a ritual sacrifice. He is bleeding from the wound to his head which killed him. The fire on the altar in the center of the background is Cain's rejected sacrifice burning with smoke. Religious Painting #44
