$9.99

A premium quality art print of Bryan farmstead in Gettysburg National Military park for sale by Brandywine General Store. Our historical civil war artwork features the barn and home of the African American farmer, Abraham Bryan. Bryan had a 12 acre farm on which he grew wheat, barley and hay along with small apple and peach orchards. During the Battle of Gettysburg the farm was on the front lines of Pickett's charge. Bryan came back after the battle to find his farm in ruins, he got it cleaned up and farmed again until 1869 when he quit and went to work for a local hotel. Picture #1715 an original archival civil war print made from a photograph in the Brandywine collection.
