A Museum Quality Print of Hoodoo Formations in Bryce Canyon Utah. Hoodoos are formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of the river bed and sedimentary rocks. the red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views for park visitors. The different shapes are reminiscent of Church Steeples, Gothic Spires, Castle Walls, Animals and even people. According to the Paiute Indians, who inhabited the area for hundreds of years before the European Americans, the hoodoos are ancient legendary people who were turned to stone for their bad deeds. These formations are made of Claron Limestone and some named and more famous examples include Thor's Hammer, The Hunter and Queen Victoria.
