A ten dollar obsolete Virginia treasury note issued October 15, 1862 from the second issue of Bills issued by VA during the Civil War for sale by Brandywine General Store graded by PMG at AU 55 EPQ. The left vignette is a portrait of Thor on a shield, in the center is Prosperity with a cornucopia flanked by 2 green X protectors. The serial number is 3864., the EPQ designation by PMG stands for excellent paper quality. Criswell ranked this Southern Money as CR #08 which means it was the regular note of the issue.
