CR #123 North Carolina Obsolete five dollars Civil War Treasury Note 1863
An Obsolete North Carolina Civil War five dollar treasury note issued 1863 from Raleigh NC for sale by Brandywine General Store. Criswell designated this bill as CR #123 and it is rated at R3 on the rarity scale meaning it is estimated between 2501 to 5,000 still exist. The center vignette features a view of the harbor and city of Wilmington North Carolina, the left vignette is Liberty standing with pole and on the right is a portrait NC state treasurer Johnathon Worth. Our estimation of grade to be used as a reference only is almost uncirculated with a paper wrinkle and a couple small pinholes. The pictures show the front and back of the actual North Carolina obsolete civil war currency that is for sale.
