CR #33a Georgia Obsolete ten dollar Civil War Treasury Note 1865
An obsolete Georgia ten dollar Treasury note issued during the Civil War from Milledgeville GA on March 20, 1865 graded PMG 63 EPQ for sale by Brandywine General Store. The left vignette on this Southern Civil War currency features a passenger train going around a turn, the center vignette has an oval with the Georgia coat of arms. A black treasury stamp is on the reverse. Criswell designated this obsolete GA note as Cr #33a which means it does not have the printers imprint and is more scarce than the regular issue. The obsolete currency is rated on the rarity scale as R-6 meaning it is estimated between 401 to 800 still exist today.
