Dillenia Showy Botanical Art Print
An archival premium Quality Botanical art Print of the Showy Dillenia originally produced in the Curtis Botanical Magazine on July 01, 1799 for sale by Brandywine General Store. This archival botanical print shows a large yellow bloom with a smaller bloom to the side with large green leaves on a single stalk. The showy dillenia was described in the journal thus - A native of Malabar and Java which in its native soil grows to become a vast tree, however when transplanted to the English gardens it rarely grows past three feet in height. The flowers are large and showy and are remarkable for the unpleasantness of their scent. This species is easily increased by cuttings which will quickly produce flowering plants. Dillenia Speciosa.
