Dogwood, Cascading Pink Branch Botanical Art Print
An archival premium Quality Botanical Art Print of Cascading Pink Dogwood Branch for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artwork shows a large dogwood branch that droops down towards the ground, full of dark pink blooms. This dogwood tree is located at the base of the famous Seneca Rocks in Pendleton County, West Virginia. Dogwoods are a multi season tree, in the spring they are loaded with beautiful blooms which last a couple weeks, followed by green leaves. In the fall they are full of dark red berries, which are a favorite of birds, squirrels and other small wildlife. If not eaten, these red berries will last throughout a lot of the winter. Most of the dogwoods in the wild are of the white variety, but the newer hybrid pink and red dogwoods are favorites to put around homes. Some of these newer hybrids are also more resistant to a virus that is killing some of the wild dogwoods. Picture #124 an original botanical print made from a photograph in the Brandywine collection.
