Durrie, George Henry - Farmyard in Winter art print
An archival premium Quality art Print of Farmyard in Winter by George Henry Durrie for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artist finished this oil on canvas in the year 1858 with the original size being 26 by 36 inches. This picture is now located at the White House in Washington DC. The sloping roof of the salt box house points toward the tops of the pair of large trees which are the central focus of the composition. The barn and hay stacks with a light coating of snow form the left side of the painting. The cows milling around waiting to be fed and a small flock of ducks at the watering hole, finish out the composition of this beautiful winter landscape by Durrie who was well known for his scenic winter scenes.
