Phlox Fine Leaved Botanical Art Print
An archival premium Quality Botanical Art Print of the Fine Leaved Phlox which was published by Curtis in the Botanical Magazine in 1798 for sale by Brandywine General Store. The picture shows a single branch with several stalks with pink blooms on top. The fine leaved phlox was described in the popular botanical journal thus "This tribe of plants are native to North America, such as the present species, brought from Carolina by Mr. John Fraser in 1788, now introduced to most of the collections about town. The stalks when supported, grow to a height of about a foot and in May the whole plant forms a highly ornamental bush of purple flowers. Phlox Setacea. Botanical art print #45
