T-65 Hundred Dollar Civil War Issue 1864 PF-02 Uncirculated
A T-65 obsolete one hundred dollar Lucy Pickens bill issued by the Southern Central Government in 1864 during the civil war for sale by Brandywine General Store. This type 65 treasury bill is designated PF-2 meaning it is from Series 1, the rarity is R-1 which is common. Lucy Pickens was the wife of the Governor of South Carolina and is featured on several bills of the Confederacy. The left vignette has figures representing the army and artillery branches of the military while on the right is George Wythe Randolph, the Secretary of War. Our estimation of grade to be used as a reference only is uncirculated. If not for a tight trim it would be choice, this note has a beautiful light pink tint with dark crisp printing. The pictures show the front and back of the actual Type 65 CSA note that is for sale.
