This Indian's original name was Tenskwatawa, who was a Shawnee Prophet. He led a major religious movement among his Indian tribe in the Midwest between 1805 to 1813. He was a brother to Tecumseh who led a separate political movement during the same time to unify Indians in resistance to the white people taking over the Indian lands.
