An archival premium Quality art Print of Thatched Cottages at Auvers-Sur-Oise by Vincent Van Gogh for sale by Brandywine General Store. This canvas was painted by Van Gogh during the month of May 1890. Van Gogh only spent 3 months in Auvers-Sur-Oise in 1890 after getting out of the asylum at St. Remy. His brother, Theo, thought it best if he lived close by, but this was to no avail, because in another two months Van Gogh committed suicide. Before his death Van Gogh completed 77 paintings while living at Auvers-Sur-Oise. He said of the peasant huts "in my opinion the most marvelous of all that I know in the sphere of architecture is huts with their roofs of moss grown straw and a smoky hearth."
