Bryan barn in Gettysburg National Military park art print
A premium quality art print of Bryan Barn in Gettysburg National Military park for sale by Brandywine General Store. Our historical civil war artwork features the barn of the African American farmer Abraham Bryan. Bryan had a 12 acre farm which was on the front lines of much of the 3 day Battle of Gettysburg. His house and farm became the headquarters for Army of the Potomac General Alexander Hay's division of the 2nd Army Corps. Of course the farm suffered extensive damages during the battle, Bryan fixed the farm up again and farmed until 1869 when he quit and went to work for a local hotel in Gettysburg. I have removed the images of the town in the background. Picture #1733 an original archival civil war print made from a photograph in the Brandywine collection.
