An original premium quality art print of Lieutenant General Longstreet's Monument Seminary Ridge Gettysburg Military Park for sale by Brandywine General Store. Our archival historical civil war artwork features General Robert E. Lee's "old War Horse" on his horse in front of a fall setting. Longstreet was the commander of the First Corps in the Army of Northern Virginia. He gallantly led troops in battles at 1st Manassas, the Peninsula, 2nd Manassas, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, Chickamaugua, Knoxville and was then wounded in the Battle of the Wilderness in May 1864. He returned to the army a short while later and was present with General Robert E. Lee at Appomattox to surrender the Confederate Army to General Grant and the Union.
