The infirmed Mrs. Henry aged 84 years was in her bed when Union forces bombarded her home, throwing her out of bed causing her multiple injuries from which she soon died, becoming the 1st Civilian casualty of the Civil War and the only one in the 1st Battle of Manassas. The tombstone is directly behind the replica of her home in a small family cemetery.
