Mary Jane Dogan House in Brush Manassas Battlefield art print
An original premium quality Civil War art print of the Mary Jane Dogan House in Brush at Manassas Battlefield National Park for sale by Brandywine General Store. Our archival printed artwork features the dilapidated house setting on a bank above Route 29 with a lot of fall brush covering the bank side. Mary Jane was a step daughter of Lucinda who lived next door. This house was built in 1879 from lumber that is dated to the mid 1820s. It is believed that lumber was used from a structure that was damaged in the Civil War as there are signs of battle damage on some of the timbers. Mrs. Dogan operated a store from this home. Picture #1390 an original Manassas Battlefield civil war art print made from a photograph in the Brandywine collection.
