Our archival printed artwork features a longer view of the historic Civil War structure with the rock wall approach. The original bridge carried civil war troops from both side during both Battles of Bull Run over the Fauquier and Alexandria Turnpike. The original bridge was destroyed by Confederate troops in 1862, this replacement was built in 1884 and was very similar to the original bridge over Bull Run.
