Our original photographic artwork features a landscape of the stone house with a mileage sign along busy Lee Highway. The sign tells motorists that Fairfax is 12 miles away, Arlington 25 and Washington DC is 26 miles. Due to the Stone House being along the early turnpike road for a number of years it was a business that catered to wagon drivers hauling food and supplies to DC. However when the train arrived in this area that slowed the business down considerably and the owners turned to farming instead.
