Union Soldiers Firing Rifles at Droop Mountain Art Print
An archival premium Quality Art Print of Union Soldiers Firing Rifles at Droop Mountain for sale by Brandywine General Store. This battle reenactor civil war print is taking place in Hillsboro which is in the newly formed state of West Virginia. The confederate forces were hoping to take back the eastern portions of the newly formed state, but due to difficult terrain and other matters, they did not succeed. This was the last major land battle of the Civil War in the state of West Virginia. This scene shows a group of Union Soldiers standing in the open and firing at the Southern troops across the field. They are framed nicely be two big trees on each side of them and the branches at the top. In the actual battle the North won this one putting an end to the hopes of the CSA of taking back the newly formed state of WV.
