Caravaggio - David with the Head of Goliath Art Print
An archival premium Quality Print of David with the Head of Goliath by Caravaggio for sale by Brandywine General Store. This masterpiece was finished by the artist sometime during the period of 1605 to 1610. Some historians think the painting could be a double portrait of the artist, with David being the younger Caravaggio and the head of Goliath the older. Others think the young David is an assistant the artist had of which no likenesses exist, so it is impossible to know. The painting portrays the Old Testament story of the small David killing the giant Goliath with a slingshot. Religious painting #73 made from an antique painting.
