The original size of this oil on canvas is 67 by 49 inches. de Corninck was a Flemish Painter who specialized in still life's and landscapes with animals and also hunting scenes. His development and progession of styles remain unclear so it is difficult to date his paintings with any precision. This artwork shows a bevy of animals including a peacock and a parrot setting on a branch above the other animals. The peacock is beautiful with his large tail cascading all the way to the ground from the tree branch. The animals setting on the ground are a large turkey gobbler with is tail spread out, rabbits, a guinea pig and top knot rooster and chickens.
