Greco El - St. Jerome Religous art print
An archival premium Quality Art Print of St. Jerome Penitent painted by Greek artist El Greco in 1610 for sale by Brandywine General Store. In the oil on panel El Greco features St. Jerome as an ascetic with gaunt, sunken features and a white hair and beard during his retreat into the Syrian desert. Saint Jerome was best known for his translating most of the Bible into Latin and his commentaries on the Gospels. His version, known as the Vulgate, was used by the Catholic Church for hundreds of years. Picture #114 a religious art print made from an antique painting.
