Stoltenbert Fritz - German Cuisine in Barsbek Art Print
An archival premium Quality art print of German Cuisine in Barsbek by Fritz Stoltenbert, showing Cows on Main Street for sale by Brandywine General Store . This picture was finished by the artist in 1900 and depicts cows being herded through the downtown in the fall time. A very colorful print with all the fall colors of the trees, the leaves full of color laying in the road, the colorful buildings and all backstopped by a deep blue sky. Fritz Stoltenberg, the artist, was a German painter who lived from 1855 to 1921. The son of a Captain, he began to paint the landscapes of his surroundings as a teenager. He studied at the Art School at Weimar, Academy of Fine Arts at Munich and at the Academy in Kassel. In 1882 he joined a group of artists at the Ekensund at the Fiensburg fjord who all devoted themselves to open air paintings. In 1889 he married Anna Yada Mountain, the daughter of a wealthy Hamburg family and settled in Kiel. Now with no financial pressures he was able to fully devote himself to painting.
