An archival premium Quality art Print of The Annunciation by Bernardo Strozzi for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artist completed this oil on canvas in the year 1644. The original artwork is now in the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, coming from the Esterhazy collection. The composition depicts the scene from the Gospel of Luke in which the archangel Gabriel tells Mary of her blessing in being chosen to have the Son of God, who she was to call Jesus. The angel holds out a lily to the reading figure of Mary. With her hand on her heart, Mary expresses humble acceptance.
