An archival premium Quality Art Print of Youth Between Virtue and Vice by Paolo Veronese for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artist finished this painting between 1580 to 1582 with the original size being 40 by 60 inches. The oil on canvas now hangs in the Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain. This work of art depicts an allegorical theme of a young man who has to choose between vice and virtue. Vice is represented by the woman on the left whose dress is scanty and showing part of her breasts. The other woman, who is bare footed with the laurel wreath of glory on her head and looks like she is trying to step out of the picture personifies Virtue. It looks like Virtue might be winning the battle for this young boy as he is looking her way and about to grab her hand. The setting looks like it is in the midst of Greek or Roman ruins with the columns to a building and the statues. Old Masters art print #43
