Ward James - The Reapers Art Print

The painting shows the reapers getting in the wheat crop. A couple of men are in the field cutting the wheat or grain with their sickles while a woman is in the foreground shocking or tying together the bundles of wheat. A well dressed man and his wife, who are probably the farm owners have stopped to check on the progress of the workers, the man is talking while his wife stays on her house. In the corner is a baby who is laying on a blanket under the wheat shocks along with the drinks and a dog.
