A bright orange construction fence adds unusual color to the overall scene. Stewart Hall is the 4th oldest structure at West Virginia University and served as the college's library until 1931. Since that time it has served as the administrative building with offices. In the 1970s this hall was renamed in honor of Irvin Stewart who was president of the University from 1946 to 1958.
