Dodge Lumber Company Lithograph Print
An archival art Print of a Dodge Lumber Company Advertising Lithograph for sale by Brandywine General Store. This timber company got their money's worth from this advertisement as it has numerous scenes of company operations and a lot of printed information. Some of the scenes shown in the small ovals around the edges are the planing mill, yard and wharf at Jersey City, NJ, the Chillisquaque Timber Mill, Phelps Mill in Clinton County, Pa, the Jack Mill, the City Block at Baltimore Maryland where they could load ships, a scene driving big logs down the river to the mills, The Tobyhanna Mills in Monroe County Pa and a camp scene from a timber camp. The big oval picture in the center shows Dodge Mills in Williamsport, Pa built by William E. Dodge. The company had 200 saws with a capacity of 180,000 board feet every 12 hours. At the edge the ad says that Lumber was available rough or dressed and could be delivered by car or boat load from the Mills on the Railroad and Canals in NJ and PA or at the company yards. Timber bills of pine, spruce and hemlock could be cut promptly to order. From the Mill at Tobyhanna, Spruce Piles and Spars, Hemlock Bark, Beech, Birch, Ash and Maple hardwoods could all be bought. There is even more information to be found on this lithograph. It is still attractive even with all the different scenes and writings. Picture #77 an archival, premium advertising print by Brandywine General Store.
