Grover and Baker Sewing Machine Co Fine Art Print
An archival art Print of a Grover and Baker Sewing Machine Company Advertisement for sale by Brandywine General Store. This was a very detailed lithograph made sometime during the latter part of the 19th century. The ad shows four different scenes from within the factory, they are the Instruction Room, where I would imagine they would take prospective customers and show them how to run the sewing machines, the Principal Sale room, Machine Room and Sale Room by Floor. These four different rooms are the small circles at each edge. In the center is a large view of the actual outside of the factory which was located at 495 Broadway Street in New York City. In front of the factory are two two wagons that are loaded with sewing machines. One shows machines without any protective coverings, they are probably going to be delivered locally to customers in New York City. The other wagon is loaded with sewing machines that have been boxed and show addresses from all over the World. This was to show clients that they could ship their product anywhere. Picture #38 an archival premium advertising print by Brandywine General Store.
