A fifteen cents obsolete scrip from the The City of Newark New Jersey issued during the civil war on October 01, 1862. This change note has green tint with darker green bars and edges. We estimate the grade at fine with a nice appearance with signs of mounting on the reverse. The shinplaster states that the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Newark, NJ will pay to bearer one year after date fifteen cents for value received at the Treasurer's office.
