SKU: MA obsolete #132

An obsolete civil war fifty cents note from the Western Railroad Corporation in Springfield Massachusetts dated 1862 for sale by Brandywine General Store. The obsolete currency was issued during the civil war on Oct 01, 1862 for the purpose of allowing the railroads agents to make change as hard currency was very scarce during the civil war. The money was payable through the Globe Bank of Boston. Our estimation of condition is very good with a couple small edge splits. The pictures show the front and back of the actual Western Railroad corporation obsolete money that is for sale.
