New Orleans Jackson and Great Northern RR $2.00 obsolete currency
An obsolete Civil War train note issued by the New Orleans, Jackson and Great Northern Railroad in 1861 from New Orleans for sale by Brandywine General Store. This obsolete currency of course has a train for the center vignette. The signatures and serial number are written in red ink. Since paper got scarce during the Civil War these train notes were printed on sheets of Bank of Port Gibson MS notes that were never put in circulation. Our estimated grade to be used as a reference only is fine / very fine.
