T-59 Ten Dollar Civil War Issue 1863 PF-19 very fine
A T-59 obsolete civil war ten dollar SC Capitol Building treasury note issued by the Southern Central Government in 1863 for sale by Brandywine General Store. This civil war currency is designated PF-19, meaning 2nd series, plate letters further from top, lithographed by Evans and Cogswell and on plain non watermarked paper. The rarity is R-1 which is common. A desirable maroon date stamp of Sept'r 1863 is also present. Our estimation of grade to be used as a reference only is very fine plus. Type 59 CSA bills featured the proposed state capitol building for South Carolina in Columbia and RMT Hunter who served as secretary of state for the Confederacy as well as a Senator. The pictures show the front and back of the actual T-59 CSA bill that is for sale.
