Washington County Abingdon VA Quarter Dollar Obsolete Scrip 1862
A quarter dollar scrip note from the County of Washington VA issued in Abingdon on June 13, 1862 for sale by Brandywine General Store. These obsolete civil war notes had 3 styles of vignettes on the left end, a clock, tree and crossed guns. All are about the same rarity, it is estimated that between 50 to 99 still exist today of each vignette. We have more than one 25 cent obsolete note from the County of Washington Virginia but we have included a picture of each change note currently in our inventory.
