Honolulu is the capital and most populous city in Hawaii and also the southernmost city in the United States. In Hawaiian language Honolulu means sheltered bay or place of shelter. The city has the 4th highest amount of high rise buildings in the US, trailing only New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles. Each year about 8,000,000 tourists visit these islands. Contributing to the heavy tourism besides the beauty is the climate. The temperature does not fluctuate much here, the average highs are 80 to 90 and the average lows are 65 to 75 and this is fairly constant year round.
